We belong to Allah and Him we shall return“. ( Al-Baqarah, 156)
During the search, I found out that this phrase, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” was used to recite from the prophet’s time. In Islam, one day, the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said the phrase during a disaster befalling believers, and when they recite this phrase, God would grant them something better in return.
However, firstly, this phrase broadly communicates about the temporary world. Secondly, this phrase indicates the wisdom and power of God. It clearly ignites with one spark, the authority of Allah. thirdly, remind the shahada kalma
In contrast, I was a little worried to think of these phrases when people use them for themselves, like what will remain the same after dying, like;
Ø I was the most beautiful.
Ø I was famous.
Ø I had lots of friends.
Ø I was a millionaire.
Ø I had lots of houses and cars.
As for phrases, the Quran reminds us that ‘every soul will taste death, then to us will you be returned’ (Quran 29:57). This verse emphasizes the inevitability of death and the accountability that follows. everyone reflection encourages us to focus on what truly matters: our relationship with the divine, our character, and the positive impact we have on others. These are the things that will remain with us eternally, long after our earthly accomplishments have faded away.”
lastly, Reciting this phrase is a powerful way to finding something you lost and forgot to pick up, cultivate humility and gratitude, seek comfort and solace in times of hardship, reaffirm one’s faith and trust in Allah, Rembert the transience of this world and the importance of living in a righteous life.
